Anyway; an inmate caught a fellow inmate, and other inmates saved everyone from becoming a frothing mess.

Though not without help. Credit where credit is due; Kozak's warden got us into the labs with his keys, Toshiko Sato got us access to what we needed-- otherwise we would have simply sat in the bar while everybody else lost their minds or died.

And that's why I'm angry. Because not only did we save the day and all that crap, we almost couldn't because we can't be trusted...

...because of people like crazy stabby inmate.

Vicious cycle, man.

And I would say there's an inherent problem in a system that seeks to "better" Inmates who still must have a Warden's permission to actually do good things of their own volition.

But then I'm just "farting rhetoric."

She's hurting and angry and she failed in her job. She's going to hiss and spit. Man, you should have heard me in some post-scheme rants...

Doesn't make her right, though.

[ he shrugs, and then says ] You know I woke up today feeling-- [ Good? Great? Happy? ] satisfied with what I'd done.

Now--

I think I'm gonna go walk my dog. I owe him so many walks after two days trapped in the cabin.

I'm pleased to know there are Inmates here who are quick to think on their feet. There are many here, I think, who owe you a debt right now.

And Rex and Kozak.

[ Normally he'd let his ego soak it all up, but-- ]

And Rex is a warden now. His actions-- got him his ticket off.

Sometimes, deeds are rewarded as they should be.

Yeah, well, right now I'd like a caramel latte [ THANKS KOZAK god he misses Starbucks ] and a sandwich. But my dog needs a walk, so that'll have to wait.

Well, that's sort of why inmates went after this asshole, right? Aside from the whole stabby-stab thing. It's to cull the few outstanding assholes back into their place.

Could be. I didn't go after the bad guy, though. Or the crazy lady with the scissors.

[ ...he cured things instead. Rex and he and Kozak went to make things better. ]

Rex had the skills, I could pick them up quick enough and use my own to provide further solutions and... Kozak, well, he got to be our test run.
